Many industrial processes require vibration in some form to assist with the propagation of product flow. As part of the WAM Group of companies, OLI manufactures a diverse range of fluidisation products.
Unlike Pneumatic Hammers, Hammer Blasts and Air Cannons, fluidization pads by OLI are used as a preventive measure. A variety of materials will show perfect mass flow as soon as a certain amount of air is added at regular intervals during discharging of the bin or silo. In this case the action is gentle. The air-enriched material gains the desired flowability. At the same time, possible tendencies of the product to bridge, rat-hole, go lumpy or deposit are prevented. Thanks to the semi-convex shape of the durable polymer Fluidization Pads, air is given off at a wide emission angle. A certain number of pads are mounted on the same level inside of the silo cone. If due to poorer flow properties one row isn’t enough, further rows with an even greater number of pads can be added above.
Fluidisation nozzles also known as aerator nozzles represent the most economic solution to ensure material flow from silos, bins or hoppers. The small footprint of the U025 and U060 makes them particularly suitable for retrofitting. An Engineered polymer casing, co-moulded with a sintered nozzle (brass on the U025, polyethylene on U60) has to be screwed onto a supplied steel nipple which previously has to be welded on the outside of the silo, bin or weigh hopper cone. The nozzles have a compact design with easy maintenance making them ideal for industries such as building & construction and plants & machinery.
U025 Aeration Nozzles are used with fine powdery materials such as cement, lime and similar powders at a working pressure of 0.2 bar (3 PSI) and can be easily fitted on bins or silos from outside which makes them particularly suitable for retrofitting or in cases where the inside of a bin cannot be accessed.
U060 Aeration Nozzles are suitable where appropriate arrangement have to be made to exhaust excess air containing entrained dust at the top of the bin/ silo such as for food-grade applications as they work at a pressure of 1 bar (14 PSI). U060 can also easily be fitted on bins or silos from outside which makes them particularly suitable for retrofitting or in cases where the inside of a bin cannot be accessed.
